Connect a Hover domain to Pagecloud

Pagecloud AI Sites and classic Pagecloud sites use different DNS records. You have an AI Site if your editor includes Ask Paige.

Connect Hover to an AI Site

Set up DNS manually for an AI Site. Do not use Hover Connect for this path because an older Pagecloud template can install classic site records.

1. Publish the AI Site.
2. From its project dashboard, select Domain.
3. Enter the domain under Custom domain, then select Add domain.
4. Keep the Pagecloud Domain setup page open.
5. Sign in to Hover.
6. Select the domain, then open DNS.
7. Copy every Type, Name, and Value displayed in Pagecloud into Hover.
8. Remove conflicting A or CNAME records for the same @ or www name. Keep MX and other email records.
9. If Hover does not support the displayed ANAME or ALIAS type, expand No ANAME/ALIAS support? Use A records instead in Pagecloud. Add every A and TXT record shown.
10. Save the records, return to Pagecloud, and select Check status.

Buying or redeeming a domain through Pagecloud’s Hover partner does not replace these AI Site DNS steps. The setup is complete when both hostnames show DNS connected and SSL active.

Connect Hover to a classic site with Hover Connect

1. Sign in to Hover.
2. Select the domain and open Connect.
3. Select Pagecloud from the partner list.
4. Confirm the connection.
5. Review the resulting DNS records against the classic records below.
6. Return to Pagecloud and select Test connection.

Connect Hover to a classic site manually

1. Publish the classic Pagecloud site and add the domain from Domain setup.
2. Sign in to Hover, select the domain, and open DNS.
3. Add these records:

4. Remove conflicting A or CNAME records for @ and www. Keep email records.
5. Return to Pagecloud and select Test connection.
6. Choose your Preferred URL after the domain connects.

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours.
