Disconnect a custom domain from a site

Disconnect a custom domain when you want to use it on another site or replace it with a different domain. The published site remains available at its Pagecloud address.

Only a site owner can connect or disconnect a custom domain.

Disconnect a domain from an AI Site

1. Open the site’s Project dashboard.
2. Select Custom domain in the project sidebar.
3. Select Remove domain for the connected domain.
4. Confirm the removal.

If you add the domain to an AI Site again, use the new records shown on its Domain setup page. Verification records can change.

Disconnect a domain from a classic site

1. Open the site dashboard.
2. Open Domain setup.
3. Under Custom domain, select Update.
4. Select Disconnect your domain and confirm.

Disconnecting does not change records at your DNS provider. Remove or replace the old website records if the domain is moving elsewhere. Keep MX and other email records.
