Get started with an AI Site

Use this guide for sites created with Create with Pagecloud AI. An AI Site opens in an editor with Ask Paige, Your theme, Pages & settings, and Media library.

If your site opens in Pagecloud’s classic drag-and-drop editor, browse all Help Center topics instead.

How do I create an AI Site?

  1. Sign in to your Pagecloud dashboard.
  2. Start a new project.
  3. Select Create with Pagecloud AI.
  4. Review and accept the AI session consent notice.
  5. Describe the website you want.
  6. Submit your description and answer any follow-up questions.
  7. Confirm the details when Paige asks if you are ready.

Pagecloud creates the initial design, content, images, and home page. This can take a few minutes.

What should I include in my first prompt?

Include enough context for the first version to feel specific to your business:

  • Your business or project name
  • What you offer
  • Who the website is for
  • The main action visitors should take
  • Pages or sections you need
  • Your location or service area
  • The tone and visual style you want
  • Any required contact details, services, prices, or opening hours

For example:

Create a site for North Shore Garden Care, a residential landscaping company in Halifax. We help busy homeowners maintain small urban gardens. Visitors should be able to review our services, see before-and-after projects, and request a quote. Use a warm, practical tone with natural greens and clear photography.

You can keep refining the site after the first version is ready. You do not need to fit every detail into one prompt.

What is in the AI Site editor?

The editor includes these main areas:

  • Ask Paige: Request content, design, page, and site-setting changes in everyday language.
  • Edit mode: Select text, images, buttons, sections, and other page elements.
  • Your theme: Update colors, fonts, buttons, spacing, corners, and light or dark appearance.
  • Pages & settings: Switch between the pages in your site.
  • Media library: Upload, find, generate, replace, and edit images.
  • Device preview: Check responsive, phone, tablet, desktop, and custom viewport sizes.
  • Project menu: Publish the site or open its dashboard, analytics, inbox, team, and other tools.

Does Pagecloud save my work automatically?

Yes. AI changes, direct edits, and theme changes save as you work. The editor briefly shows Page saved after a change is stored.

Saving is not the same as publishing. Select Publish site the first time you go live. After that, select Publish updates when you want saved changes to appear on the live site.
