Why Isn't My Site Live?
If your site does not load at its address, shows a 404 Page Not Found, or shows a “Talk to our support team” message, work through this checklist. Most cases come down to publishing, your domain, or billing.
Is your site published?
An unpublished site shows a 404 Page Not Found at its address.
- Open your site dashboard.
- Click “Publish Site” in the upper right corner and select “Publish Site”.
- Confirm the site now shows as published.
See Publish your Site. You may need to upgrade your account to publish an additional site.
Is the specific page published?
A single page set to Draft shows a 404 even when the rest of your site is live. Check the publish state of that page in How to Publish or Un-publish Pages.
Have you set a home page?
If no page is set as the home page, your domain has nothing to load when someone visits. Set one in Set a Home Page.
Is your custom domain connected and propagated?
New domains and DNS changes take 24 to 48 hours to take effect.
- First check that your site loads at your free .mypagecloud.com address. If it does, the problem is the domain, not the site.
- Review your DNS records in Connecting Your Custom Domain.
- For specific errors like “too many redirects”, https, or “Not Secure”, see Custom Domain Troubleshooting.
Is your subscription active?
A “Talk to our support team” message, or a site that suddenly went offline, can mean your subscription needs attention, for example a failed payment.
- Confirm your payment is current. See Payment Failed and Update your Credit Card on File.
Are you seeing an old version?
If you have published but still see the old site or a 404, your browser may be showing a cached version. Clear your browser cache, or try an incognito (private) window. See Clear Browser Cache.
Still not live?
Email support@pagecloud.com with your site address and a description of what you see, and the team will take a look.
